Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
What controls every cell, tissue and organ of your body?
DNA? Wrong. Immune system? Wrong? Hormones? Wrong. It's your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body. When a chiropractor sees a Portland patient with say, stomach problems, we want to know why the brain is unable to properly control and regulate the stomach. Chiropractic is a wonderful profession that I have been enjoying for over 10 years, but it was not until last year that I found a technique (the way chiropractors treat patients) that actually made me feel that I could really finally FIX the human body versus just patching it up. I discovered this new method (which has actually been around for 10 years or so) while at a seminar in Pittsburgh and after my first adjustment I felt good, I mean real good. I had another adjustment the next morning and for the next few weeks I felt better than I had in years. You see, I have been a chiropractic patient for the last 22 years and have been treated by over 50 if not 100 different chiropractors and nothing has come close to the way I felt after receiving my first adjustment from an ABC (Advanced Biostructural Correction™) doctor. I have always felt better after a chiropractic adjustment but this was something I HAD TO LEARN!
So I bought the program, then I went to Ithaca, NY to learn from another ABC doctor and lastly I invited the developer of the ABC™ technique to my office for three days to provide me with intense hands on training. My training continues as I work with patients and improve my skills in what I believe is the best treatment plan available to FIX the human body.
Since then I have sold my office of eight years in Lisbon Falls, ME to move to Portland, Maine so that I can provide this procedure to a greater number of patients. This has been a bold move, but one that I had to do in order to help more people.
